Josh Peskowitz has been on the retail side of the clothing business for over two decades now. So when you get the chance to look inside his brand new retail concept store in sunny Culver City, California, you take up that opportunity.
That is precisely what we did when we stopped by his new space, called Magasin, for a shoot. And now you too get a chance to get an inside look as well right here in the latest installment of our Highsnobiety TV series.
Magasin was born after Peskowitz made the decision to leave his former employer of Bloomingdales, in addition to traveling several thousand miles away from his home. It was launched within the PLATFORM space in Los Angeles’s Hayden Tract, an impressive building dedicated to first-to-market concept stores.
The lush exterior of the building gives but a taste of what awaits inside Magasin. Peskowitz’s brainchild began by stocking brands such as Massimo Alba, Salvator Piccolo, Feit, PT01 and Golden Goose, but it has now begun to offer exclusive items created just for the store. For example, Peskowitz recently created a custom pair of jeans he designed in collaboration with Levi’s, as well as a pair of sneakers made with Golden Goose.
Be sure to check out Magasin’s online store for more information on its featured brands and products.
